This is a very interesting three days route in which three 3000’s can be ascended: Juego de Bolos (3021 m), Mulhacen (3479 m) and Veleta (3398 m) It is a way to meet a portion of the north side of Sierra Nevada with a special charm, very different to the Alpujarra’s side.

Description of Activity:

Day 1: Vereda de la Estrella (1300) – Cueva Secreta – Prado de las Víboras (2000m) Meeting in Granada and approach by car to the start of the Vereda de la Estrella. We will walk whole Vereda de la Estrella that ends in Cueva Secreta. Then we approach to the Loma de Casillas, who is the north ridge of the Juego de Bolos peak and will bivouac in the Prado de las Víboras, after ascending about 700m of altitude.

Day 2: Prado de las Víboras (2000m) - Loma Casillas – Juego de Bolos (3021m) - Mulhacen (3479m) - Bivouac Shelter Caldera (3080m) It is the most adventurous day. Ascend the Loma de Casillas will require us to do some climbing (always under supervision and ensuring of our guide) and we will have wonderful views of the North Face of Mulhacen. Ascend the Juego de Bolos peak and from there get to the refuge of the caldera from which attack the highest peak of the peninsula, Mulhacen. Overnight in bivouac shelter of the Caldera. This is the hardest day of Itinerary to overcome a height of 1480m positive.

Day 3: Bivouac Shelter Caldera (3080m) - Collado de la Carihuela - Veleta (3396 m) - Hoya de la Mora (2500 m). We will make a positive difference of 316 m.
